Sending Love to a Negative Being (a Paradox)

If we get a negative greeting from a negative being, which could be in the form of suggestion such as "kill your dog to save the Universe".
If we send them love so as not to be angry towards them, is that good?
But we know the negative beings don't like love.
So it might hurt them.
I feel that loving instead of being angry might be trying to hurt them, and can be negatively polarizing for a person.

But I want to feel love for them, just not out of spite.

It's a paradox. Can't love them cause it will hurt them.
Can't be angry because that is depolarizing for one.
And you can't go around trying to hurt negative beings with love.

I think it's dangerous to engage with negative entities without protection if your actions might antagonise them. They may return more forcefully. Remember, that greeting is them sending you anti-love.

If a negative thought arises in me I just let it go.

Having negative thoughts doesn't mean I'm evil or some evil entity is plaguing my mind. It's just a part of being a human and having a brain.

I have control over my actions. Because I know this no amount of dark thoughts bother me. They have no power over me, I have the power.

Beliefs in entities outside of myself robs me of my power. It places the power in things outside of me. So I don't believe in them.
