Lay Down--candles in the rain. Melanie

Hello all. An early song written by Melanie Safka, as I understand it written as a response/description to her feelings after being at Woodstock. One of those songs created by being inspired, moved,--and becoming itself inspiring and motivating. One of several of her songs to do that--for me anyway.

I listen to Melanie quite often and decided to do a search on here to see if she has been mentioned and found this old virgin thread.

hi Podshell.

thanks for the links.--very rarely open links myself due to extreme and probably unwarranted caution, but thought ok to do so in this case from fellow Melanie fan👍
Saw Melanie accompanied by her son on guitar live on a tv programme a year or so ago.

cheers.
