lasting impression

my mothers significant other had passed and before passing made my life for the last almost 20 years extremely difficult had passed about almost a year ago. and this person I tried very hard to form a bond while living, and this bond couldn't be made due to him. mentally this person left a impression in me where it still effects me negatively... he was a very nasty person and took my self out of the loop where I had no contact with him nor anyone who made negative impacts on my life. he has made contact with me twice since his passing.

Hi, Anne....I'm wondering if his contacting you now, from beyond, still has a negative effect on you. Do you feel he might want to make things right?

I am not sure.. while living he was very nasty.. he has made two attempts since passing at first I didn't realize it was him. due to cutting communication a few years ago. it wasn't til recent I realized it was him when the second attempt happened. maybe I'm still in shock of his passing. just I been trying to find it with in my self to forgive and let go meanwhile all the memories keep passing through my mind. usually I'm very good at forgiving. this person left a lasting impression that I have been working really hard to let go of while he was alive so I can move on emotionally.

Sounds like you haven't made peace with the situation yet...
Can one ever really forgive and forget when they have been deeply hurt and scarred? Is it possible to completely let go? I often wonder...

hello thank you for responding... maybe time will make it easier? I am not sure I just know how I feel presently and how I was affected in the past. still finding it with in my self to make peace and to move on.. I prayed.
