What if the Afterlife had "seasons"?

A thought occurred to me. So many religions and spiritualities talk about the "truth" and "one right way" for the afterlife. But...
What if the Afterlife changed? For example, what if in the 10th century when people died they went to a sort of lush, natural open area for their afterlife, and that's where they lived? But over time the nature of the afterlife changed, so that when people died in the 15th century, they went to a more traditional depiction of heaven. And in the 30th century, anyone who died just sort of floated around in space with all the other spirits, hanging out and socializing.

What if... the way the afterlife has been depicted all these years, all the different ways it has changed, was accurate at the time it was described, and not any one more true than the others? Or my personal favorite; what if they all do exist simultaneously, and where someone goes is determined by what is most appropriate to them; ie, a Christian goes to Heaven, a Viking to Valhalla. Etc.

Food for thought.

You look at her astonished, trying to remember the last time you even saw this person before, the meeting meant so little to you at the time. 'Don't you remember? I was standing on the bridge, staring at the water, and you passed and said 'Good morning'."

I believe God values human values, no matter whether they are evil or good. God has a plan for humans after death. We are like a fruit garden ready to be picked by God. I don't believe in hell. Are you preparing hell for rotten, unworkable fruit? I'm sure you don't want to be that busy. You just throw away the rotten fruit, it will become fertilizer and will give birth to new fruit that may be more delicious in the future. Such was the fate of an evil person during his lifetime. He will not go to hell, but will return to earth to continue the work of God that has not been completed. Some religions call it reincarnation. Some religions admit that hell is not in heaven, but is in the bowels of the earth itself. That's allusion, and it makes perfect sense given the story above. Return to afterlife. Nobody knows God's plan with those who are considered valuable and not cast into hell (earth). Maybe it's God's way of gathering an army to fight off an invasion of super creatures that are as strong as God itself. Nobody knows.
