Ecclesiastes 9:10 "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going"

Clearly Jesus knew the whole truth about what happens when we die and that this story, rich man and poor Lazaurs, is way deeper than the literal interpretation.

Don't put off until tomorrow what needs to be done today. Sheol can also mean Spiritual Death.

Yes, there is more than the literal interpretation but there is nothing less.

Sheol is a place, right here on earth - the state of mind of Sheol
To Gnostics - we are all in the literal Sheol right now
To Literalists - Sheol is where people go in future after physical death
But really it's a state of mind

The ancients knew that the state of mind of the world had 'fallen' and become base. In our state of mind we restore the condition of the state of paradise

Religions tend to extrapolate away the present salvation into the future and also to bring torment into the present because they don't want salvation right here and now, they want confusion to continue. But true religion gets that it is no salvation that doesn't save in the present and is only a future promise
