contacting a mermaid

yeah i was wondering how much was real. some of it seemed convincing-ish but a little over the top and/or photoshopped. kinda weird.

I'd like to add, however, that it did get me thinking in that there was definitely the idea that there are depths of the ocean no one has even been close to so it makes me wonder. as for actual mermaids though, i do believe they are not of this plane/planet.

Tonight on the Discovery Channel they had a show about Mermaids, some ocean researchers filmed what they called a mermaid, to me it looks like some kind of alien. Not that I know what a mermaid should look like. I too believe the Oceans are mysterious.

I did watch it, and it was well done, with some real clever theories.
For that alone it was interesting.

I have seen a few so called mermaid pictures and they look hideous, like a character from star wars with the tentacles as hair.

Hollywood portrays them as beautiful girls, or an Ariel type form from The Little Mermaid.

The last merman seen off this coast was in the 1880's. It was seen by a farmer working on the cliff tops, who described it as looking like a young man with a fishes tail. The report got into the local paper, and was taken quite seriously by local naturalists.

Mermaids, like many 'mythical' creatures were creations of genetic experimentation from the time of Atalntis. When the atlanteans realized the wrong in what they had been doing they created The Temple of Light which was used to return these creatures back to human form. The sphinx is an example of one off these as is the sasquatch. If you want to find out more about it look to Edgar Cayce, Douglas James Cottrell, I've heard Bashar mention it (PM me and I'll tell you exactly where to find it) and there are also references to it in The Book of Jasher.

I think it's entirely possible that mermaids or mermaid like creatures exist. Much of the world's oceans remain unexplored.

However if they exist, I don't believe they would look -anything- like mythology/hollywood portray them to be (unsurprisingly).
