How did YOU discover your guide/angel's identity?

I found out mainly through channeling, but I did one particular strange experience:

After taking the bus home from college, I went to take a shower because I had a cousin's wedding that night. After finishing my usual shower routine, I had the door open partially because the room was hot. As I was changing I heard a gruff man's voice scream, "CLOSE THE DOOR!" I don't think I've ever shut the door so fast in all my life, especially since I was in the apartment alone. Turns out I had a couple of conservative entities around that simply wanted to keep things 'modest.'

And that, my friend, is how I found out one of my companion's identities. Not as detailed, but hope you enjoyed.

I found a guided mediation that helped you meet your spirit guide on YouTube. A woman showed up and the name Elena popped in my head. Then, I felt comforted that night, like she was sitting on my bed as I was falling asleep. The next morning, I was reading some random news articles on my phone and I came across one about a woman named Elena who was diagnosed with cancer, but refused chemotherapy and sacrificed her life because she was pregnant and she wanted her baby to live. She was also blond, like the guide who appeared to me.

Mine just started showing up in dreams, though one of them (whom I learned was my main guide) I grilled incessantly about who he was for several hours while meditating. He was communicating with me via sensation. I still can only receive yes or no answers but still it's something haha.

Learned he was an extraterrestrial, (an orca-type being) had incarnated with me before in Atlantis. We knew each other personally. How close we were is a mystery, however. He's not THAT open.
