Was this my higher self speaking to me?

Hi,

I made a post that describes the exact same thing, though I deleted and lost it.

I'm wondering how I can communicate with my higher self and Am I actually hearing the voice of my higher self?

I believe I am because I have three voices in my head. Me talking to and comforting myself, My ego voice and what I believe to be my higher self.

Okay, so I often wake up at 3 in the morning due to panic attacks. I had to force myself to go to sleep somehow, so, I used this technique. It's basically meditation, but in the meditation I focus on something beautiful. I will close my eyes, lie In bed and breath deeply, in and out, then I will, at the same time, Imagine a beautiful place. One such place is a place I created for a story I am going to write. It's a victorian house, I am in a big beautiful garden of purple and pink blooms that surrounds the house, The sky is blue and the sun shines most all of the time.

Well, i had used this technique one time about a few days ago, and I heard a soft, comforting voice. I was consoling myself at the time, and did not expect to hear a voice. I kept telling myself, It's going to be okay. then the voice responded yes it is. I don't remember exactly what she had said, because I was basically putting myself in this dream like, hypnogogic state. It was hypnogogic and when I come out of that state I have to write things down fast or I can't remember them.

Anyway, The voice was SO CLEAR. Not exactly loud, because she was just as loud as my ego self, who had freaked me out!

The ego voice said, "Heaaaaaattthhhheeerrr, SHE'S WATCHING YOU!" and one of those images of a samara looking girl with white eyes appeared in my minds eye, but I knew it was my ego voice trying to scare me, well, as soon as I got past that I began to feel this safe loving presence, who I suspected to be my higher self. Before when I saw the girl with black hair, which of course, was just a fear and a just a dream of mine (It actually was a picture i saw online at a young age LOL)

Back to the main point, I later envisioned a girl with brown hair that glowed amber in the sunlight, this I suspect was my higher self, but It could've just been me dreaming because after all I was in the half awake half asleep state. So I basically envisioned this safe place in my mind, then I heard her voice. It was crystal clear speaking and not as in my face as the ego voice.

She had a very soft, calming voice and a reassuring, safe presence. I felt really loved and safe overall.

I once meditated for just 4 days and had some pretty mind blowing experiences! One time I had a tablet in hand and was watching a spiritual video. Well, I started to fall asleep (this was after one of my meditation sessions) and In my hypnogogic state I began feeling myself drawing a circle interconnected with another circle. So, I was basically drawing a diagram. Then I violently jerk awake. On the tablet at that very moment, was a diagram!!!! The person in the video NEVER EVEN MENTIONED a diagram or circles. He called it a vescica peces (not sure if that is spelled right, sorry!)

After, these meditations I began experiencing incredible synchronicites and in general, just KNOWING and FEELING the answer to questions I've had. I would even know, mostly, feel future events and often predicted them right! It reminds me of this one time, I had been meditating and in my meditation, I accidentally fell in the hygnagogic state. Well, while i was in it, I had this crazy vision dream thing where I was flying through a tunnel of purple- blue sparkles, the background was black. I'm not sure what was on the other side of the sparkle tunnel thing because I was so shocked I woke up completely!

I just feel that those are some of the times, my higher self tried getting to me. (communicating with me) I just never heard her voice up until now.

Am I really hearing her voice, I feel sure when In that state, but when I'm awake and doing normal everyday things, I doubt my experiences.

Thanks again, It's a long read (AGAIN, sorry), but I need some help in understanding this. Also, has anyone else had similar experiences they'd like to share, I would LOVE to read some.

Hello Heather,

Yes that calming voice which makes you feel reassured and safe would be your higher self. Feeling really loved is not a fake energy.

I am at the point where I have regular conversations with my higher self. In the beginning I just received intuitive knowing about various things. I would ask myself, How can I know some thing like that? Any way be patient with your process. Also be kind to your ego self. Self love for All That You Are works best.

Every person's intellect will doubt these things. That is the way it works. Over time you will trust your experiences more and more and then the intellect will become more comfortable with all of it.

Thanks so much for responding. I really do need to be kinder to my ego self and my being in general and as a whole. After all, I was able to differentiate that ego speaking from my higher self. Something like that would normally get to me for the rest of the day, but I knew what It was because it was like my higher self came in and It felt like a totally different energy! The energy of the creepy incident, felt fake and just dreamlike, but the loving energy of the higher self, was without a doubt real.

I was once at a point where I had began to stop believing in spirituality, Then, when I had these amazing experiences, I began to see that this stuff was actually REAL!!!! It's awesome to know that we always have someone who, is not outside of us, but within us, that knows the future and all of the answers to our questions. She helps me go to sleep when I have panic attacks and nightmares are like no big deal at this point, because I can feel the difference between her loving energy and that ego energy that wants to make me afraid.

I love this thread ❤️ I’ve started to experience my higher self too. What I’m not sure about is my spirit guide that I’ve experienced, is this a version of myself too?

Hello, something that helped me feel more connected to my higher self was writing in a journal. At first I got to connect with other sides of my ego.

But after some time, I began to connect with an older part of myself which is very understanding and reassuring and caring. And I also began to answer myself in my mind, using the same type of reassuring tone, which is unlike me. As I stress out a lot sometimes.

But yes, writing about things helps to see the different sides :)

And also, what you wrote about the comforting voice sounds like your higher self. It is looking out for you and wants to be there for you.

I like your name by the way wantingpeace I can so relate to that so many times on my journey 'to here now' this moment - I have a close bond with my support team, and if I hadn't had one-light I might have thought about having guessing-game

It doesn't matter how close you are to your Guides Angel HS, there is so much to work out for ourselves, and it can be such a lonely journey for many including me so many times - so on lookers out there you have company here, come join us -

So much to work out for ourselves on these journeys, but so many days it goes quiet support wise and I think everything ok there? so much to plan and guess, decisions decisions... what do you think team 'left or right'? all quiet expect that'll be my decision then...

Thank you to everyone and their replies. It's just right now, I don't know what to believe in anymore. I'm wondering if these spiritual practices are demonic. I am in no way, shape or form trying to say that this is all **. I am just in a very confused state. I am not trying to create fear, I'm just scared myself.

Ok we see what others think here on this - you've opened your heart to us here we should help... I must admit i have been so busy, I didn't read your first message properly, just skimmed over them all

See what others here think over coming days - and I'll chip in as well - I am trying get through to my hospital here in UK - half the people labeled when hearing multipal voices in there shouldn't be in there, things can be done - but can I get in there with my energy/power of the mind talks, its like fort knox if you don't have letters by your name.

People have different views on here on ego and self - I 'am' the self with higher self guidance - ego stops me getting run over apart from that its been a menace to 'me' over years, but its there... LOL one good thing the ego is good for, when I the self make a mistake I blame the ego - get back stupid boy...

People here should help people, eg charities elderly etc if only a few hours a week and it gets noted - get rewarded with better guidance I reckon...

Many people on this forum hear multiple voices at some point and all it takes is a trip to the doctors and you're labeled and I won't even spell the word because its so low in 'vibrational energy' - then its a specialist appointment - and just look on the health service how they try to explain sleep paralysis, not a clue...

Seriously now your problem. We need to raise your energy vibrations, and in the evening I would like you to recite high vibrational energy phrases eg - lovely beautiful sky - tremendous gorgeous trees - high energy light - my lovely friend - divine support team - beautiful angels etc etc etc - just make them up - and not all day, just do it as a treat 'for you' twice three four times a day to raise your energy vibrations, and especially in the night when problems arise.
