I am catching this one and not becoming a victim.
I realized that I would just put myself in the same risky place again if I let a guy befriend me, and kiss up to me and give me a special ride to a town W wish to move. I have a long history of being romanced, and married to and am the daughter of a very toxic Narcissist.
I'm not taking this guys BAIT!
I'm done taking people's BAIT!
I won't play their manipulation games anylonger.
It's even more insideous when I realize I have a female Narcissist friend in my life. I will have to pay close attention to it, seriously, it's just overwhelming, the amount of damage these people have done in my entire life.
Now there's a "Narcissistic Victim Syndrome" and I'm not suprised!

@MCS,
It's not easy to deal with such personalities, I understand the torment you have to put up with.
Likewise, I live with two fully blown two faced psychotic narcissists who will feed off your good intentions one minute, the next minute they'll grow horns and become demonically possessed and accuse you of everything under the sun.
A: One remedy is to not engage in any verbal dispute, walk away and ignore them.
B: For the best effective remedy is to show them the error of their attitudes and make them aware that they suffer from NPD. (Results will likely turn them away from engaging in conversation with you for days/weeks/months).
Your happiness is your priority, try not to give too much of your generosity/kindness away to such people for it to be trampled upon.
Focus on yourself (healing) for as long as it takes, you know you deserve better!

I wasn't aware of the "Gray Rock" methods, so thanks for sharing these alternatives MCS, there are some pretty helpful one's there.  |
