Me: I was able to change my core beliefs, (the silent killers, lol!!!) Lol.
Nothing could change these rock solid beliefs, they aren't feelings, see?
Ha, here are mine! I know all of these, profoundly:
-I am God's beloved, adored child.
-He is a 'King', Magnificent - so what does that make me? His little adored, privileged Princess. (And so is everyone else!)
-Ask, believe and receive...
-The world is my playground to enjoy...and the rest of my existence that continues on, wherever.
-I was created to be a co-creator with immense power.
-All is for my good. (Always had been, ha!)
And so on...(Suffering has made it's point, now I'm done with it!) Hahahahaha....

And so far so good, for over a decade now. Yay!

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Miss Hepburn,

Being motivated by your post,

First i tried with feeling, when going to sleep, to receive guidance from Krishna via dream. I made myself feel like:

"Lord Krishna's guidance for me is easily accessible to me."
"Lord Krishna guided me and i remember the guidance."

It didn't work.

Next night, i tried with belief:

"Lord Krishna will guide me tonight and i'll remember the guidance."

with prayer like:

"Lord Krishna, i request you to guide me tonight and make me remember the guidance, thank you."

This too didn't work.

Perhaps Krishna wants you to trust your own inner guidance rather than looking to others.

And maybe instead of asking Krishna for favours, you simply surrender everything to him, asking for nothing.

Peace

Perhaps you can read the Bhagavad Gita and imagine yourself as Arjuna? I don't imagine you'd get different guidance if it were delivered directly.

One must also give permission to themselves I think.

Growth comes from personal experience in making beneficial choices . . . and THAT most often comes from making prior detrimental decisions.

How else is trial-and-error supposed to work?

One can extend the bitterness by constantly pointing the finger outward . . . or . . . acknowledge the lesson and move along.

I think sometimes we try too hard to find answers when what we really need to is stop trying to find them.

Maybe they fail to see that their former belief system was a stepping-stone to their new belief system. And they do not consider that at some future date they may become converted to yet another belief system, at which point they will probably also reject their current belief system.

Humans are funny sometimes.

Right, agreed.

Life is the evolution of consciousness. We acquire the new and more useful means, and relinquish the very same form when obsolete - just like leaving the body. It is an ongoing process, a journey. But it is important to not become cynical regarding the past, to let go of it by recognizing that in the "big picture" all approximation, including what appears to be failure, justifies the ideal that is attempting to manifest in the physical.
