41 years! Very good. Hmmm, late 1970s - were you with DLM? (I am aware that this may be a bit off-topic for this thread).

Peace

It is very difficult to calm the mind but even if i do, i keep searching for the connection and a starting point for ascending to higher realms as if that happens i will be rolling on the ground with joy.

So sorry, I keep that guru stuff to myself now.
And sorry I missed your post before this.

Hi Ashok, I used to talk to my mind...play a little trick...it went something like this:
'You can have all the time you want (Mr. Mind) to think about all the things you'd like later ...you can
have free rein.....BUT, just for a this little while....I'm going to give you a rest ...'

That is like a trick therapists say to addicts to use...You want a cigarette?
Just say to yourself 'you can have 2 cigarettes later, but right now, no...just hold off a bit...'
Then the urge passes. And voila!

Works with the mind, too.

As far as higher realms, if I may...remember starting slowly ...taking baby steps works great.
First the calming thoughts, the relaxed body...then a nice sense of peace, then little bit by little bit
some sweet realization may occur...it encourages you to sit longer...and the longer you sit in stillness the more the brain waves move into alpha...and away you go.

I may not have anything huge happen until the third hour...and when it does it is pretty darn
huge and worth every hour.
