new to tarot
Hi, I am a clairvoyant and empath, I have been doing readings for years using my natural given abilities. I recently bought a tarot deck and decided to learn to read the cards. My question is do any of you have suggestions on using my gifts to enhance the tarot reading or vice versa? Thanks in advance.

I think you'll probably find that eventually, that in addition to the meanings of the cards - due to your clairvoyant abilities, the cards will become a springboard for "seeing" things, which will greatly enhance your readings.

Agree with Jenny. The cards are only a tool to trigger your own intuition. I realised that with my cards. The first deck was standard Rider-Waite and I struggled with that - I found the imagery uninspiring. But then my daughter bought me the Sacred Circle tarot. This has vivid imagery, rooted in pagan myth and culture which speaks volumes to me - the tarot also included an A5 paperback giving lots more back-story to each card. So, the message is - find YOUR tarot deck.

I teach intuitive tarot and the suggestions so far are good ones. Let the cards tell you what they mean to you. You can read a hundred books on the meanings and get a hundred interpretations.
I teach with Gilded Tarot, but once classes have ended I encourage my students to find the deck(s) that really resonate with them. Sacred Circle is a wonderful deck for anyone with even a slight Celtic or pagan interest and is one of the decks popular with my students.

Thanks for the advice guys. I figured I could use them as a springboard of sorts like mentioned above, for my own abilities, and if nothing else to help my recipients relax. I have noticed that just diving into a reading from my mind can freak them out but somehow tools seem to calm them. Even things like having a crystal ball helps to make them more at ease lol.

MS,
I had a tarot reading by a medium and she said the exact same thing. It made people uncomfortable for her to just start telling them things. When she started using tarot cards and let them choose their own cards she was able to pick up on dates and initials that didn't come to her without them.
Tarot cards can be found for a reasonable price, so doesn't hurt to try!
