[I wrote this reply about 90 minutes ago, but waited to post it.] It's definitely one of my favorites of all time too. I didn't intend to do it, but I started watching it again as soon as I posted the link above. I just now paused for a while at the "stairway" scene (I imagine you know the one I mean). It's hard not to avoid strong emotions when watching many parts of this movie, including that scene. The story feels very "personal" for me.

Well, I've just recently figured out why.
well it's just because :).
I have watched & loved this movie for many years, without consciously knowing why, I met my TF as a teenager many years ago, he died, not long after, I went into soul shock & as strange as it many seem, Many things happened over many years but I was not allowing myself to be consciously be aware of it,we were not
"loving across time" but across the veil & I am now intrigued myself to see if our ending will mirror, this movie.

Also, Brokeback Mountain. In my opinion, this is one of the most powerful love stories I've seen on screen.

THOR... The underlying Love Story
I just saw this movie in the last 2 weeks. I'm not a movie person, but This is what hit home with me. When THOR is banished to live among the "humans" he meets Jane... When they first meet and look into each others eyes, I can't help but think that is what my SC & I emulated when we did the same.
The entire underlying theme is unconditional love, what THOR needed to experience to rise to his "best self". Just as our individual, unique experiences in our own lives with our SCs shape our existence, it's happening on all levels, in all dimensions at the same time. Sometimes we want more from that special someone, more than they can or want to give at that moment. Do know they watch over us and walk with our spirit & soul each day. Know they love us unconditionally, even though they may be "worlds" away.
