I love Wayne Dyer.
He talked a lot about the 'I am' statement kind of affirmation I think in "Wishes Fulfilled".

Hi Secretscribe,
I could not help but think about your reference to "I am" statement, above, and the mentor from whom Dr. Dyer learned so much about the importance of "I am", Neville Goddard.
I think you will be very pleased to see the 1st reference below, stating as much, and the very sub-forum here on Spiritual Forums dedicated to Neville Goddard, started by Miss Hepburn, as the 2nd reference.
Personally, I am very glad to have found them both.... 
Hope you will be, too!
BTW: I found that many of Neville Goddard's books are on the internet for free as well (see 3rd reference)

Ever hear about Dr. Dyer's exp with John of God in Brazil? The time he did not
go...but had others there on his behalf?

Oh, I see if you google 'Dr. Dyer's description of John of God healings'...many links come up...
I was thinking of the one when he was in Hawaii.
