Not all species other than Human operate in "Group Souls". I do know that from the simple knowledge given to me by experiencing.
Some individuals of some species (other than Human, that is) have completely individualised consciousness, and on occasion are even more spiritually-attuned than some humans.

I rely on my own experience for that, which has revealed much which intrigued and surprised me joyfully. I hope to learn more yet. There is an illusion of separation between our own species, and the many others, which can result in erroneous misconceptions. It is probably based on our observation that those other species are not on the same wavelength of intellectual development when viewed from an Earthly perspective.

Hello, dear Metal! There are a lot of names I recognise on this thread, and I respect them all. Some of you I have also corresponded with via PM.

It seems, however, that I am in a bit of minority on this thread. No matter, I will state what I believe (indeed, what I know from my astral experiences), even if that differs from the beliefs of some of you. We are all mature enough for that!

We have read about sexism, ageism, racism, etc....but it seems that "soulism" also exists: the idea that human souls are in some way "superior", more spiritually developed, than animal ones. I would argue that in some cases (kindly note, I said in some cases, not "most" or "all") animals are more spiritually developed (but not "superior") than humans. As burntfruit has pointed out, we humans haven't done a very good job of living in harmony with nature. Who has caused pollution, nuclear weapons, etc? The capacity for logical thought and technological development is not the same thing as spirituality.

Animals, for the most part, live in perfect harmony with nature. So it is, I think, quite erroneous to claim that humans are spiritually superior. Who is "superior" - Hitler, Stalin, a mass murderer, a multiple rapist....or a sheep peacefully munching grass in a field? I am not saying that the sheep is "superior", but I am querying the simplistic idea that humans are "spiritually superior". Humans are a mixed bunch, very mixed indeed!

Dogs offer their caretakers unconditional love. That is something which some humans have still to learn.

Once, on a small astral forum which I think no longer exists, a lady claimed that the rapid bird formations, suddenly all changing direction at the same moment, was an example of a "group soul". I challenged that, suggesting that the leader of the flock sends telepathic commands to other birds, rather like a "squadron leader" does via radio. Birds are, after all, capable of navigating right across the world without a compass or GPS! Humans would find that somewhat challenging, LOL! Perhaps birds can "read" or "see" the geomagnetic lines, or maybe "leylines", on the earth. No matter how they do it, it is an advanced skill which we humans can only dream about for now.

From all that I have been told on the astral, we are all souls. There is no "superior" - only different. We all have different paths on our spiritual journey.

So my answer to your questions, dear Metal, would be "yes", "yes" and "yes". What, our so-called "superior" humans needing return as mere "animals"....?! That may upset the theories of some people, but here is the reason:

Some humans, especially those who caused deliberate severe pain to animals for pleasure (e.g. the numerous cases of kittens and puppies put into microwaves, or burnt with blowtorches, each year) will need to learn at first hand what their actions mean. That is not a "punishment"; it is just a need to develop spiritually by learning from one's mistakes at first hand. I am not suggesting that such people will always need to suffer the same fate; probably just living as an animal should be enough to "understand".

No-one is superior; merely some are further along the path than others. We are all souls. We all deserve respect as equals.
