Hecate

Does anyone honor or worship Hecate? I feel like Hecate was around when I contacted her through her strophalos with a letter on it. I drew the symbol on a piece of paper with a written letter and burnt it. And I did notice quick signs coming from her a few days later indicating that she would like to be my goddess. At that moment I didn't have an altar until she answered my letter. I was given clear signs that she was around especially at a park where the crossroads meet. I recall seeing someone with his dog running right where I was heading. Immediately the dog and the owner ran past me, however after that, I noticed the dog would stop and look back at the crossroads as if someone was there. I knew then it was Hecate. She's associated with dogs and crossroads. And that really confirmed things. So I got my letter answered.

I finally had my altar set up and lit a candle on it. I didn't had anything on my altar. I simply had a cloth to cover the surface with a glass candle holder on top of it. I burnt a taper candle for Hecate around evening while I was reading. Several hours later the candle was almost completely burnt out until it reached the glass candle. I've noticed the candle flame was burning on the side of my candle holder thinking to my self. Will it crack? And it did! I heard a small cracking noise from the glass candle holder. And I noticed something different has changed. I was clear from one of many bad habits. It was if I was free from the addiction. And I was sure Hecate had something to do with it. I usually burn candles without dressing it. None of them were given any power or intention to manifest a goal. So I knew Hecate was behind it. She's a goddess of change.

Unfortunately, I am a Taurus. And well you know change does not sit well with me and Hecate is all about change, working through the shadow self and stepping out from the comfort zone. She always wants her devotees to transform spiritually, mentally, and physically. I've read that she illuminates the path best suited for her followers. But to obtain her secrets you must hold the keys to unlock them. And I believe she tests us to see how far are we willing to go in the unknown. She can be tough. She expects us to know things without her help.

Lately, she hasn't been around. And I think I know why, but I'm not going to get in her bad side by evoking her. That will be a mistake.

Anyway, I wanted to know what are some of your experiences with Hecate? I've noticed not many honor Hecate in the Wiccan community.

Hekate is my deity. I have had wonderful experiences with her. Some hair raising experiences too. As long as you don't forget her offerings and keep in communication with her she is amazing. She can be tough though, if you ask her for things you're going to have to be willing to work for them. She has deepened my understanding of what it means to have a patron deity.

How do you communicate with Hecate?
What offerings do you give to Hecate?
And what kind of experiences did you have with Hecate?
