DRV clarity/method

Hello

I am quite well versed in radio principles and able to construct things.
I made a diode detector not long ago.
Simple circuit.
Germanium diode connected to two 600mH coils one end of diode fed the input the other end with coils to earth.
This then supplied a preamp and then into main amp.
Picked up all radio signals within close range as well as HF.

Never had any spirit voices on it (that I know)

I am very interested in this and DRV type communications.
EVP via tape etc feels too hit and miss.

Would be interested to swap ideas on this?
