Seeing a ghost

I have a lot of new beginnings. I recently moved, which in itself is a huge deal for reasons I won't go into. I have a new city where I don't know anyone and a new job where I am, hopefully, going to get back into shape with.

It's been 2 years since my TF woke me up and a year-and-a-half since I've seen him. Too much time has passed and I think I have convinced myself that I won't see him for so many more. Coping mechanism? Probably.

But every once in a while, I see someone who carries some of his essence. Tonight I thought I felt him in a man who resembled him. Not perfectly but enough to make me catch my breath. Tonight he's felt closer than ever for the briefest moment.

I'm not sure how I feel about him being this close again and yet still feeling so unsure about everything. I've not looked on his social media in about 6 months and I'll continue not to. I can't live with the roller coaster of feeling not choosen and don't need to be triggered.

I don't know how I feel about being so close to that energy in the 'real world', it's freaking me out some. But I do not want to see things that are not there.

Anyone else have something similar happen?

yes this happens to me, and I find it comes in waves. some days/weeks are quiet and other times its constantly feeling his energy and being reminded.

Sometimes it bothers me and sometimes it's reassuring. It just is.

Yesterday I had a strong image of his face right up to my face then his face felt like it actually became part of mine.

It was a very strange experience that I've never had with anyone before, including him.
