Just got my back realigned

I went to the chiropractor yesterday. I'm worried my spine will slide back to where it was before. Does anyone have any yoga positions that are good for healing the back? Thanks!

Hi Lavender, I don't have yoga positions to suggest but I had had over the years multiple back problems.

I have come to learn that one need to strengthened their abdomen muscles mostly, sides also, in this way, you spinal column is strong and you will have less back pain. Anyway, that works for me!

The best to you!

Oh that's a huge question!

It starts in the feet, and the legs and the hips - even standing isn't simple when it is done properly.

So, you need to talk to your yoga teacher specifically, or ask your chiro for exercises that will strengthen things. Everyone's back is different.

I have issues with my back and I do yoga. In my view, people with back problems should keep two things in mind while doing yoga. Firstly stretch as much as possible before any bending or twisting. Secondly, stop before it hurts. I stopped going to yoga class because of my back problems. Now I do yoga on my own and just about every Asana is tailored to suit my situation.
