Why does Buddhism work for you?

For all Buddhists. Is your life happier? In what way? Are you more compassionate now? Are you more relaxed and less stressed?
The concept of equanimity appealed to me. To try to treat everyone equally no matter their behaviour. That is a high ideal that Jordan Peterson would be proud of.
From my experience, Christians need to learn from Buddhist meditation. Yes the gospel reassures us not to worry, but an actual technique is required to still the anxious mind. For some of us anyway. That's why I will always be slightly indebted to Buddhism. It taught me that.

I feel regardless of which path or practice you may choose along the way, there comes a time you will become aware of your mind and what affects it ripples through the mind:body system. Whether people understand it through contemplative meditation or physical fallouts or emotional dramas in their life or even fear based grips to any kind of external containment’s. In the end it governs your way of life. How your little matrix/created reality ripples through all of you and the world you create one with. Once you understand your own personal responsibility, you understand your place in the world you create one with that. And then of course, then you understand that all this ripples through the entire universal life creation. Which is why self first, self awareness and personal responsibility serves the whole creation beyond just yourself.

The mind can be the leading driver affecting your totality of health and well being. When it’s not you actually can listen to your whole body.

WHY DOES BUDDHISM WORK FOR YOU?

Because it gets rid of the "you" thereby eliminating work.

Joe "What's your favorite color?"
Mary "The ones we like the least deserve the most love"

Buddhism doesn't work for me. I work for Buddhism.

OTOH yes it's a truly tremendous tradition, as authentic as they can come from a realization perspective IMO.
