Eye stone paintings
Hello,
I have just moved into a new home which has be lived in previously. My question is regarding symbols I found hand painted on river stones in a garden bed. The stones have been hand painted with a symbols of a decorative eye. I was wondering what the significance of this symbols might be? I have beem thinking it might be a protection symbol? Also a Psychic told me I would move into a home with a 3 in the house number. This ended up being a true prediction. What would you interepret as being the significance of the number 3?

I'm curious, if you do a Google/Yahoo Image search for 'eye of Horus', does what comes up resemble the decorative eye that you see painted on the river stones?

Hi Gemini,
My first instinct was to check Rune stones which are popular spiritual divinity tools, but there is no eye in their collections.
You may want to look up " The Evil Eye". In many cultures around the world, the eye represents an evil omen or curse. It was believed that people could cause bad intent with using the eyes alone. I believe people do art or wear decorative pieces of the 'evil eye'. Also, also worth looking into what NorthernLights suggested about the Eye of Horus, that is a common art piece too.

I've always thought the all seeing eye was an esoteric symbol for magical arts ...

Hi thanks for the advice. They do not look like the 'eye of Horus'. I feel that it has something to do with the evil eye aswell, like a symbol for protection. I find myself wondering if past tenants could have been practicing magical arts here.

Can you give insight into your understanding of the all seeing eye?
