How do I include several small quotes from other people's posts in my reply?

Hi,

How do I include several smaller quotes from other people's posts in my reply?

I understand there is a Quote button and I use it. However I see other people including several small specific quotes from other people's posts in their reply in addition to the big quote from the person they are talking to.

Where can I read about this? Thank you!

Copy some quotes you want essvass.
And paste it at the same reply.
You can click as many as quote you want and copy it.
Then paste it in same place.

The function is [quote= gem] (what gem said) [/ quote] (no spaces though)

I still don't understand though, because when you are in the Reply window you don't have access to other people's posts anymore.
Simply typing "=gem did not do anything.

You just type [quote= gem] ... [/ quote] No spaces.

Thats true, in reply window you don't have access to old posts. I don't know if there's a way of just clicking them or not, I don't think so.
