Raw Vegan

I have several acquaintances that are raw vegan
I was for a limited time but now need more info
Are there any long time raw vegans who can offer expert advise
here on all the various aspects of the discipline ?

nutrition
ethics
source of food [eg global village market]

I'm not really a globalist so for example in northern Canada
[im in mx now] how would I do this ?

I also gave up leather in CA but returned to Canada with very cold feet.

There might be boots you can buy which are synthetic uppers but lined with natural fibre fleece? Outdoor pursuits stores/climbing/mountaineering supplies might have them? It doesn't have to be leather.
Then there's socks.....socks can be made of bamboo fibre, and they are nice....also hemp fibre.
Please don't have cold feet! (I know because my feet get cold sometimes!)

I don't think I could manage raw vegan...mostly because it gets cold here, and hot food is so nice to come home to after a freezing cold day outside.
