Mountain lion

In my dream we were walking around and at some point a cougar came down into out hiking train (it was the mountains and there was snow). Wee were trying to scare it away but it was confused. It kept trying to run away then someone would block it's path. I was making mountain lion noises too. At some point it got angry and disappeared. Well then I had to go to work but I wanted to sled in the snow. I tried to find a snow bank and kids playing in the snow were looking at me like I was weird. I explained that I just wanted to have some fun before I went to work. They didn't buy it so I left, besides, the snow was melting in between the houses.

the snow obscures the landscape and hides what rests under it. at your dreams
end the snow is melting, and this will reveal to you the landscape you've been
treading on for the earlier scenes. this happens "between the houses", which
could reference you transitioning from one mindset/viewpoint into another.
you'd wanted to play at playing, but the kids were unconvinced by your actions.
the opening bit involving the mountain lion has a feel of you (and your gang)
doing some play-acting too. whatever the cougar was representing seems to
have been lured into the scene, and you'd then commenced to taunting and
confusing it (even mocking it) before it simply left due to frustration.
