The most severe magic mushroom experience I had was the second time I did them and it was weirdly boring in retrospect. I too hit the "have I gone mad, I'll be in so much trouble". But basically I had three kinds of hell. Limbo, of auras and silence which later turned into graces. The Abyss of Vampire Decor and decent inntensity of texture to the experience. Lastly and boy was it chronic, the Pits of a sorta water torture with metal globules making infinite (though not exactly friendly) notes while I cowered underneath the duvet.

I too died of ego, but at the same time showed no Id, so while it was in later years a more than useful trip (and I have synesthesia) there was no predicting what it would mean.

I stopped playing the piano, and in even more ways stopped being a vampire. I have taken the writing of poetry seriously and ditched negative (friends). While reassurance from good friends or your family is really welcome I would agree that a little bit of embarassment is necessary to get past the blocks. Good Luck!

"This whole experience put me back in my spiritual path and I'm truly grateful for it. My only issue now is that im afraid of being egoistic at all. That is a good thing yes, but I'm having a hard time finding my place if you know what I mean. Before I was a rather big and muscular guy and well liked by people. Now I weigh the same as I did when I was 15 but I really want to get fit again. But im just scared of doing anything "ego-centric" at all. Im almost afraid of believing in myself."

This is a bit of a process ~!

Suggest you work with ACIM (A Course In Miracles) , Love Without End: Jesus Speaks (Glenda Green) , Self Unfoldment By Disciplines Of Realization
(Manly P Hall)

Your Mind has been thrown a loop of sorts and needs to be re-trained! Mind is not meant to rule and when it does it is ever egoic. Many false egoic mind things are coming up to defend against your experience itself. Meditation, Prayer , Self Inquiry , will all be useful in STABILIZING what has been given through the EXPANSION into the Super-Consciousness. It will not happen overnight!

On average it takes 15 years to INCORPORATE a TRUE SPIRITUAL AWAKENING and Ego is going to try and STEAL all that has been gained. You must become a Master of thieves and STEAL BACK what ego has swindled from you already, this is not a violation of the 5th command , it is a fulfillment of the One Divine Command to LOVE ~

Be patient , be kind to self , let go old friendships that cannot handle the change and try to pull you back down.

Go SLOW ,yet purposeful each day.

"The Edgar Cayce Companion by B. Ernest Frejer" will also be highly beneficial at this time.

Thank you Simon_Templar and Golden_Eagle for the replies! It took a while before I saw them, but rather late then never :) Thank you so much!

I can inform you all that things are really moving in the right direction, but as all of you mentioned it takes time :)

As long as you are alive, the ego never dies. We want our ego. The ego is one of our tools in this life which we need for survival. However, we can get stuck in the ego, which is what leads us the fear, negaitive though cycles and such. If we live only in the ego, it's no longer just a tool. We need to allow ourselves to live in our emotional centers such and the heart and solar plexus so we can balance out the ego.

It is a strange feeling to leave the ego for the first time, and can be very intense. When we leave the ego, we go from thinking to feeling. Psycodelics accelerate the transition from ego thinking to feeling. It's important not to fight this transition when using something like DMT. Usually it is difficult to surrender our thoughts the first time we use a psychedelic.

it sounds like at some point during the experience, your ego tried to regain control of the situation. Your ego had never experienced this before and it was understandably startled.

Treat the mind/ego as a tool. Try to send love from your heart, to the ego and other areas of your physiological makeup. Do what your heart feels, and don't try to analyze it. If you FEEL the need to go to the gym, then do it. I do recommend including stretching with resistance training, in order to keep those energy channels open.

If you feel the need to journey again, remember to just to ignore those thoughts and observe what is happening
