Here is what Peter said. And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.
(2 Peter 3:15,16 ESV)
He calls Paul a beloved brother and says that his letters are to be considered part of the Scriptures. There are people who will try to twist all of the Scriptures to make it fit their beliefs, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't read the Scriptures. In fact it emphasizes the importance of studying all Scripture, including Paul's letters, so we can recognize when people are twisting them.
It appears to me that you are one of those twisting the Scriptures when you say we shouldn't read Paul's letters and when you say that he contradicts what James wrote.

And that is why Meister Eckhart, 1260, a Dominican priest, didn't advance more within the Church.
