Animal Empathy

Hi everyone
After digging around, I have come to the conclusion that I am an Empath, however my empathy is extremely pronounced when involving animals.

I support many animal rights groups but I am unable to be actively involved as my emotional state deteriorates when faced with cruelty or pain toward animals. Images can haunt me for months, details of animal suffering makes me ill and its not uncommon for me to burst into tears at the sight of an illtreated or sick animal. I am not limited to any one or two groups of animals - any creature that is not human gets equal billing in my world. I'm always removing critters and insects from my home and hate killing anything.

How can I control this so I am not always reduced to tears or feeling ill everytime I see an animal needing help? It does affect my life as I know I can use my empathy to do more for animals but my extreme reactions stop me from doing any more than donate.

Everything is neutral you give it meaning. Besides u dont have 2 change the entire world just change yourself so many pepole are doing that the earth has changed massively just in the past 10 years.
