Judgment as an Outcome?

So I just did a tarot reading and I need a bit of help understanding it. I use the Deviant Moon Tarot Deck, which I love, and I used its Lunatic spread to help answer the question: What will be the outcome of checking up on *insert person's name here*? I am worried about this person, so that's why I did a reading. This is what I got:

1) The Inquirer: Strength
2) Past Influences: 9 of wands
3) Subconscious Influences: 9 of pentacles
4) Secret desires and wishes: Queen of Wands
5) Hidden Forces: Ace of cups
6) Events yet to come: 10 of pentacles
7) Surrounding Environment: 6 of pentacles
8) Influence of Others: Knight of Swords
9) Spiritual Forces: 4 of Swords
10: Final Outcome: JUDGMENT

I have always had trouble figuring out how to interpret Judgment as an outcome card, so I always get very confused when I see it. I know it has to do with decisions having to be made and sometimes these decisions can be too brash. I still consider myself a beginner and I'm still learning but I DO know that when a major arcana pops up, it means a big change will happen in your life. If anyone can help me interpret this, I'd be forever grateful. Thank you!

One way to start figuring out what that outcome means to you is to think outside the box of what you've read about the card. What does the word mean to you? Not the card, not anything else but the word. What does "judgment" mean to you?

Also try not to be so adamant about the meanings. It's not true that "when a major arcana pops up, it means a big change will happen in your life". It CAN be true, but it isn't always true (and not often). The majors, in general, are sort of "Hey there, pay attention" cards. But as for indicating big changes...remember that any card can mean that in context of spread and question. Again, in general, some cards can indicate change more than others, but yet again, it ain't necessarily so.

So try not to be so stringent with the meanings. Make each reading your perception and your interpretation, not someone else's (books, etc.).

(I think you already know what the spread means but you don't yet fully trust yourself. Go with it. Trust, trust, trust.)

I always see Judgment as a time of processing and re-evaluating. Checking up on this person might make you realize something about this person or the relationship you have with them.

Everly: Thanks a lot for the advice. I have a very rigid way of thinking about things, so it's hard to think outside the box. I'll try though.

Awakened_Queen: I was thinking that too, to a certain extent.

Extra information: If it helps, the person is my ex, who is a drug addict and who broke up with me to go to rehab, and I found out they never went...I saw them at an event over the weekend and they looked awful and I am worried about them. I blocked and deleted them from my life but I'm worried about them and a relative said it might have been a good idea to say hi to them. So now I'm so confused.

I think the outcome is you deciding if you want this person in your life. You're going to have a realization when you see him.

What's going on with the Ace of Cups in "Hidden Forces?"

Oh, I won't see them, because it was long distance. I just happened to see them since we both came from our cities to attend a convention in another city. But I do believe judgment has to do with making decisions and getting second chances at reconciliation, not particularly restarting a relationship but finally ending things on a good note. I could be wrong though.

That's another thing that confuses me but I believe the Ace of Cups to be about beginnings where relationships or emotions are concerned. Sort of an emotional cleansing/purging, I guess? Hidden forces are unknown things that drive the querent's actions. So maybe what's secretly urging me to contact them is getting a chance to start over a relationship with them, to which my heart says yes but my mind screams no because I know that would not be right until they fix themselves.

The whole reading a bit of a confusing one and it could have been because, as much as I tried to ground myself, my emotions were running a bit high.
