Peace.

Yep, practical and realistic. Thanks.

To define is to limit ... anyway ...

Meditation is simply the effortless shifting of attention
from the external to internal with no memory retention
meaning employing intuition wherein the doer disappears ...
and the experiencer appears
poised & aware in childlike innocence
embracing without anticipation the flow in fullness
offerings as may be any in the now continuum timeless
in trusting wondrousness merging form & formlessness

So, taking that which is in consonance for consciousness expansion
and disassociating with all distractions leading to contraction
we are, as we are, in meditation

If you are new to meditation, I recommend starting slowly. Start with just 5 minutes each day. Gradually increase the time over several weeks. When I started meditating, five minutes felt like an eternity. I now practice for 30 minutes a day, and sometimes I am surprised at how quickly it passes!

Hi, I practice TM mantra meditation, 2 times daily for 20 minutes, my mantra is a sound repeated to aid concentration in meditation, what kind are you practicing?

To enhance my meditation I sometimes light a candle or burn incense and if your religious background is Islam or Christianity you will taste a little of the power of the Holy Spirit, if your lucky, I think that is maybe what I experienced. Comments or additions?
