There is a dog barking
In my backyard
I wanted to silence it!
I recalled the golden rule
There are people
That stick knifes
Into my back
I recalled the golden rule
There was a girlfriend
She took almost everything
I had
I recalled the golden rule
I almost snapped!
The dog is quite now
Those people went home
And my girlfriend...
Do onto others what they do onto you!
How do you live in a world
Where everyone does not play by
The golden rule!

And merry ye meet, and merry ye part
Life would be so much easier if everyone followed the golden rule, but many don't. Karma will eventually return their actions threefold, but I strongly believe in the "self-defense" clause build into the Rede!
