Book1 Hello!

Hello everyone, I used to be a member of an Indigo forum a few years back...met some really cool people!

I have always been a spiritual person for as far as I can remember! I was raised as a Catholic (not strict - went to a Catholic school) as a child. When I was 12, I started questioning the Bible because I saw a lot of inconsistencies and things that didn't make sense. I had asked the priest at my local church to help explain things to me and try to make things clearer to me. He told me that I mustn't question the word of God and to look inside myself for the faith and wisdom to believe in the word of God, for questioning the word of God was akin to questioning God and that was a sin.

In other words, he told me to stop questioning things that I don't understand and to have faith and believe that God has a plan for everyone and everything and to just follow God's will and never question the word of God even if it doesn't make sense.

I couldn't swallow the advice that the priest tried to give me, for in my mind it was craziness. It was something that a sheep would do, to blindly follow with my eyes, and the rest of my senses, closed to the world around me as I travel along the road before me. Also, while on this journey of life, I should believe that my future is already written and there's nothing I can do about changing it because it is a part of God's divine plan.

It was then, at the age of 12, that I started doing my own religious studies. I stopped going to church but remembered the morals I learned from the Catholic dogma and tenets. Over the years, I've studied the following; Catholicism, Christianity, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Wicca, Voodoo, Santeria, Druidism, and Paganism. From studying these religions of the world, I saw many similarities between them. The differences were akin to different productions of the same play where the names and dates have changed but the main idea of the story was pretty much the same. Over time, my choice of faith drew upon all the religions I have learned over the years of my life.

Not sure if there is a proper name for it but I believe that all things in our universe emanate from a singular source and the energy used to manifest our universe will eventually return to that singular source of energy. That energy is not just energy but is in fact a sentient being that exists in everything and yet is not seen everywhere by everyone in the same manner. When I heard of the Big Bang and how the energy and basic elements produced by it are a part of everything in the known universe in some form or another, making everything connected and the same (so to speak) and yet individually different and unique. This knowledge had cemented my idea of everything coming from a singular source of energy.

I look forward to reading and learning from all of you in this forum and I hope that I am able to contribute in answering the questions some of you may have yet unanswered.

Blessed be and may the light be ever a part of you and those closest to you!

I honestly really enjoyed reading what you wrote. It's giving me that little push to study more religions and other things. Thank-you for sharing, it was very nice to read.
