2 of Cups vs. The Lovers ... how to choose?

Hi all, hope you're well! :-)

I'm stuck between two readings. I asked to see how things would progress between myself and two people (different readings). It's a very complex situation between myself and 2 love interests. I won't involve myself in anything until I am sure.

One reading showed that the situation between person 1 and I would progress into 2 of Cups. My advice was 10 of Cups.

The other reading showed person 2 would progress into The Lovers and my advice was The Devil.

Person 1 and I are on friendly-ish terms again, but there is still a bit of bad blood.
Person 2 and I get along really well and are currently in frequent contact.

I know The Lovers is about choices, but sometimes it shows an important connection too. Quite confused, which reading seems better?

hey, i did a "one card reading" for your situation...
it produced the three of cups, reversed.

the whole situation seems unproductive to me. (sorry).
are you trying to conform your life into a comfortable box?
perhaps you would be better served to not seek anything
"additional" from either of these relationships (?)

I think the cards are suggesting that between person 2 and you can there can be great chemistry. It will be a more dramatic relationship.
With person 1 the cards are suggesting that the bad blood will be cleared and there is a chance of real understanding and friendship , maybe even love.
Maybe you need to do another spread in a couple of weeks:)

Thanks Jenny, yes, I felt like The Devil was encouraging me to indulge haha! MiC; yeah I reckon 2 of Cups is suggesting a clearing of the air and harmony being restored rather than a big whirlwind romance

Omg, Horace, I think I know why you drew that card (thank you by the way). Person 2 was a complete mystery to me ... I didn't really who he was until he pretty much added me on every social network site and started talking to me. I then realized we went to the same college ... and also found out that he is in the same friendship group as Person 1!

Three of Cups reversed could indicate strife within the friendship group...

Also, a weird thing, person 2's initials were everywhere in my tea reading with hearts. Whether it ends up good or bad, we shall find out.
