Do you believe that one day God will save you?

I cling on to my belief that God will one day swoop down and save me from the mess I am in. I truly hope God will save all of us!

God helps those who help themselves and if we can't help ourselves,

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference.

God has already saved me from my sins. The blood he shed when he died paid for my sins and the fact that he rose from the dead shows that God has accepted his payment. This salvation is available to you or to anyone else who is willing to turn from his sins and put his faith in Jesus Christ.

This is the only kind of salvation God promises. If you receive it the mess you are in will remain, but God will help you to overcome it. Our sins can be forgiven but sometimes the consequences still remain.

Hi Honza,
Spend one day - the whole day doing something Jesus said to do and
you'll see a change in your whole self...
upliftment, inspiration, peace of mind.

Here are some to choose from:
Do not worry
Give him your burdens
Cast your cares
Seek the Kingdom of God first
Or
Be still
Delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart, (ha,
maybe that's to get out of your mess)

There really is no gray area. It's black or white -either we do the things Jesus said -
or we ignore them and wallow in our mess here on earth.
I'm free because of following each thing Jesus said to do...have been for years.
Just pick one from the list.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

ms. hepburn -

i guess it is presumed good to look for things that would make the difference you WANT???? But jesus also said things like 'turn the other cheek' and there was stuff about servitude and of course the beatitudes. And possibly a lot of other stuff noone likes that I am not thinking of right now. Do you really want to just ignore all that in favor of simply doing what makes you feel good?

Her advices come from Jesus's words, it's not something she made up, those are His teachings.

Is it possible that the mess you are in is part of Gods way of "saving" you?

Will God swoop down and save you? No, I don't believe He will.

Will He patiently wait for you to realize that YOU got yourself into that mess and only YOU can get yourself out of it? Yes. And then He might try to help guide you on the path of discovery that remedies your issues.

I don't personally ascribe to the idea that God directly intervenes in our lives. He created the world, and the rules. We create the problems.

Yes, we created the problems and it is beyond our ability to solve them. The one big problem is our sins. God sent Jesus to die to atone for our sins. Our only hope is to repent and put our faith in Jesus Christ. That is the only way anyone can be saved.
