RIP Anthony Bourdain

I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Anthony Bourdain this morning. ...

He was an amazing story teller. ..world traveller and all around "bon vivant"!

As a world traveller myself.....I loved his shows and felt a strong kindred spirit with him and I shared his love of discovering places and cultures off the beaten path.

Many will miss him but I feel so bad for his 10 year old daughter Arianna who I always heard he was extremely close to.....how hard it must be for her.

Tony.....tonight we will put some wild meat to fire and pull a cork out of a jug of wine in your honor!

To fallen comrades. ......Good bye Tony!

Hi Lucky!

Thanks for making this thread, I was about to make one but glad I saw one up. This is so sad and tragic to learn about this morning. Anthony Bourdain was an amazing human being, just a super chill awesome man who shared so much with the world. He will be greatly missed..

Again just a super awesome man, so much passion in his work how could one not love the guy. The world lost a great person today.

Rest in peace, Anthony

In the last week I have found myself re-reading Anthony Bourdain's book "Kitchen Confidential"....

It's different this time around....its like Anthony is speaking the words as I read them...I can hear his voice.

And it kinda feels like "from the grave" knowing he's dead!

Anthony....why'd you have to do it man????

Really going to miss you as time goes by........

There was another thread started that I commented on.

I think he and his daughters mother knew he was at risk. His daughter sang with her band wearing the boots her dad gave her 2 days after his suicide.

Suicide isn't necessarily giving up. He had his reasons.
