A pair of Haiku
I've added a Haiku section at Word By Word, and thought I'd share my first two Haiku I've written in about a dozen years. The shame is that out of 250 or so Haiku and at least 5,000 poems over the years, only a handful have survived. Hope you enjoy them.
Gentle Calm
Summer rains come soft
Washing away my worries,
Renewing my joy.
Night Schemes
Dreams come easy now
Carried on butterfly wings,
My soul is smiling.
