Who is "the beast", in the Book of Revelation?

The seventh day adventists, who despise Catholicism and the Pope as much as the JW's, state that,"the mark", is the change of worship from Saturday to Sunday.
Which theory was developed, again, decades ago.
This, in the age of RDIF chips, and satellite, cell phone technologies.
In the 21st century...

Once again, study and research apart from outdated, guided and structured curriculum is required.

Since the eighties three sixes have been imbedded in the common upc code.

Now, can you tell me if you've seen "The Matrix" yet, releaded in 1999? Or, does the Watchtower not allow it.

The JW,s are correct about the beast--it fits like a glove.

as well the following
666- the number of a man--number is key, not man.
In the numbers of men--7 = complete--6 falls short, thus incomplete.
3 things in the power positions on this earth
govts-6
commercial system-6
false religions- 6

All 3 promise a better way of life for all, but in comparison to Gods kingdom-7, they fall short, thus incomplete--all 3 stand in opposition to Gods king.
all 3 have mucho $$$$-- its what they live for. Not for Gods will.

"This horn had eyes like that of a person, and a mouth that spoke boastfully."

So, we can see that horns are the representation of certain leaders.

The beast itself does not get the worship--its image does--supposedly what it stands for--peace and security-- a false reasoning on their part.
99% will be mislead into believing that is their purpose--most likely by the 3 inspired expressions. But in reality they will be mislead into standing in opposition to Gods king for patriotism. Rev 16:13,14)

So, opportune time to bring up the possibility of the catching up or disappearance of believers, commonly referred to as, "the rapture". About which various believers have varying opinion.
One might percieve that a global event of some kind may usher in a situation wherein implementation of "the mark" may be viewed as logical, and necessary, by all.

It's probably more to to with literal/interpretive rather than objective/subjective, but because the Bible is believed as prophecy, the truth is already assumed. It only awaits validation as representation in today's world. A beast with seven heads as symbol for 7 continents is a bit of a leap of interpretation, for example.

One just need to believe the bible over dogmas--Rev 14:3--144,000 are bought from this earth--no more, no less-- These are the little flock( Luke 12:32) = the anointed, the bride of Christ.The great multitude is not promised heaven anywhere in the bible.
Jesus made a special covenant with the little flock--they will sit on thrones alongside of Jesus-- separating the sheep from the goats and judging. Few remain on earth--it is these that will be changed in the twinkling of an eye and brought to heaven during the tribulation.
The great multitude will be brought through Har-mageddon on earth. Prov 2:21-22-Matt 24:22-- after Har-mageddon, no matter where one is standing--earth, moon, heaven--all will stand before the throne of God--it will be the only ruling power left in existence( Dan 2:44)

A good number of the JW's "chosen" 144,000, have died and have been replaced.
Meanwhile, the 144,000 cited in scripture are probably Hassidic Jews, and who are virgins, who recognize who Jesus is, who make up what will be the remnant of the nation of Israel, and entering into the millenial period of Jesus'reign on Earth.

The labelled, "Rapture" event, is not only cited by St.Paul in Corinthians and Thessalonians both, but individual events are described in the old testament.

In the new, Jesus' own ascension, described in the Book of Acts. As well, in illustration by John's call to, "come up here" at the beginning of Revelation;
Said to be representative of the church of believers as a whole.

Regarding the topic of, "the beast", one, if they study... may see equation with the city of "Babylon", cited also.
