The Jefferson Bible
It's this little book compiled by Thomas Jefferson, outlining the life and moral philosophy of Jesus Christ. It's basically an abridgment of the Gospels that omits all the supernatural stuff like demonic possession, miraculous healings, the Virgin Birth, the Resurrection and stuff like that. It's a very short book and I would recommend it for someone who wants to know what Jesus stood for but doesn't want to read the King James Bible.

Lets just say that if one only held to the Jefferson "bible" they'd not be Christian. They'd reject the Christian essentials. All denominations agree and believe in central truths which are essential. Look up the Nicene Creed. The Nicene Creed is a good indicator as to whether a denomination or church is orthodox in its essential views. One thing cults have in common is that they reject the central tenants of Christianity and that includes the Nicene Creed.

What about prophecy? Isn't prophecy "supernatural"? Is it mere coincidence also that the Book of Isaiah is the most comprehensive scroll found, in the Dead Sea Scrolls find, in 1948? Which same confirms the accuracy of our modern Biblical translations of the old testament?
Which Book of Isaiah also contains the most prophetic verses and scripture about the Messiah to come?
Mere coincidence? Or, is prophecy supernatural and, the scrolls discovery divine providence?
