I adore Hayao Miyazaki's movies! Castle in the Sky was the first movie of his that I watched, so it's my favorite. I absolutely adore Howl's Moving Castle.

Really, how could you not like his movies?

He IS my childhood, ah.

I think it's a bit sad that he's retiring. Of course, he deserves a break at his age! But I'm sad that he won't create such incredible and playful masterpieces anymore. At least his son is going to take his place. Hopefully he will carry on Miyazaki's legacy.

Ghost in the shell easily beats all the movies I've ever seen(but then again, I watch a lot of tv series as opposed to full length movies.) Mamoru oshii's style doesn't appeal to everyone, but he's quite at what he does imo. this is especially true with GITS.

I am a total filmie, impossible to give just one favourite, more like a top 20 (at least)!

Here are just a few of my all time favourites:

Gone with the Wind
Ghostbusters
The Haunting (original)
Groundhog Day
The Innocents (original)
Alien/s
The Lost Boys

To name just a few ... :)

After I watched the movie Ten Inch Hero it was an instant favorite c: maybe not some people's taste, but it was a nice change from a lot of movies today and their themes and styles in my opinion. It made me smile and laugh a lot c:
