Facing the subconscious

It occurred to me recently that there was a force within me, separate from myself, which is seemingly not on "my" side. I've been indirectly aware of this force for as long as I've been "spiritual." In fact, the entirety of my spiritual path was to follow the direction of this force (in other words, to follow my intuition), but it was only recently that I had the thought that the force could be separate from and actively acting against me.

I've gone through periods where I've "wrestled" with God. I reasoned that the problems of my life were not by my choice (because who would choose to have problems), and it seemed reasonable that the culprit must be that which created it all.

I then put it together that God and the force within me were one in the same or at least directly connected.

After thinking about it a little while longer, I realized that I needed to face this force directly, using attention and willpower. I can almost feel it on a physical level. It's as if I'm wearing a small cap, like a yarmulke, and in yoga-like fashion, I have to lift the cap, reveal my subconscious (what I'm calling this force), and energetically meet it face-to-face.

I'm curious if anyone has had a similar experience.

Once I realized all sides I see outside myself are within me forming the whole of self, I only have one place to look more directly at all this and embrace. Once I understood nothing is separate, everything is within, caps I could say in this view, are just to keep my head warm and yoga is one of my favourite practice's to engage in.

The only force we battle with is an ego. Using "I/me/my" "you" "he/her/him/she" and "them/they" are terms used to make an example out of someone in order to gain admiration/pride, give it to someone who we want on our team of people who agree with our opinions, or to belittle people. when we do not obtain the God mind- our true state of being that is human nature, the only thing that makes us feel alive is empowerment. It is only by an ego that we are divided from anything, as through God we are accepted and forgiven. we are only depended upon because we are used for empowerment. Our friends are not our friends, we just agree with their opinions and so we join arms to rue over those who oppose. we express emotion, work, play, have hobbies, and buy unnecessary items, all because of empowerment. God does not have a sense of humor, to laugh is the result of resentment or pride. It may often be overlooked, but our ego is the true demon of our soul, and manifests through our sin of greed, pride, envy, lust, wrath, sloth and gluttony. God is not love and happiness, it is strength and acceptance

We learn over time when the we feels at home with any of those you, I, me, him, her, she and so on, that we are the inclusive state and when your at peace with you in all this, it doesn't give reason as to why it is being itself. It is just being.

The *we* taught me this, along with the I am, you are, we are, she did, he said. So where you give reason through your own mind why people use these terms, I see that you are yet to see more reasons so you show you being in all this. Is this god in the flesh or just a twenty year old young man being himself sharing his knowing thus far.

I do understand and relate quite will with these experiences. My understanding is that it is best to embrace all that you are with compassion.

There is dark and light thinking within every one of us. We all have what can be described as a primitive survival consciousness which is our dark side. As we evolving our inner light/dark balance towards the light, the dark side within us will resist.

It is cute that the star wars movie theme is to bring balance to the force. Naturally for cinema effect we war with the dark and the light. The will power effort you describe represent war minded thinking which creates reactions and retaliations. Compassionate love on the other hand can pierce the dark wall of resistance and open that door which allows evolution for that dark within the self.

Any effort to bring balance and stability within yourself will be greatly rewarded in my view.

Seems to me that God would have to have a sense of humor in order to accept that: "God is not love" (according to one participant on an internet forum).
