As I said before, I would like to do fluids. maybe starting off with fluids and split pea soup or lentil bean soup (something light) instead of going cold turkey, for health reasons, then just full liquids. I feel like I've been a emotional eater all year and i can really give my body a break. So I'm still doing research on this, so I don't want to say I'm fasting..BUT..still eating. I want to do it the right way. thanks again :)

That seems like the perfect reason to fast IMO. Fasting helps you feel more in control when things are stressful.

Maybe you should consider a moderate fast that goes for weeks instead of an intense fast that goes for just a few days? In my experience, the fast only benefits you while you are fasting. I suppose each person's body and personality is different though.

LOL I feel kind of guilty talking about the wonders of fasting when I am too lazy to do it anymore. :)

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

I am also very curious about some basics myself about people here.
I am Swedish mostly with Czeck and French.
Pretty pure of those 3.
Like Grandparents straight from Czeck, Fr and Sweden...

After 3 days....you are sailing, btw.
Your focus, as you feel a hunger pang, is so sublimely focused on
talking to God...that you are doing this to experience "Him"...He can't deny you.
(Ok, replace 'you' with "I and me".)

You must have burning drive to touch God.
Myself...the first time my desire and intention was so one pointed...
imagine teeth gritted, eyes narrowed...that only after 3 days...my life was transformed
from one blessed experience.

Fasting greatly increases the prana or chi, which enables one to be in meditation better. One experiences better states of awareness or mindfulness.

It also does wonders for health, when undertaken properly. The digestive system, which works non-stop gets a good rest, replenishing itself.

It has been said that it is the excess load in the digestive system, due to excess intake of food that causes loss of vital prana or life-force and subsequent ill-health,diseases and premature death.

Fasting greatly helps in this regard.
