American Gods. Neil Gaimin.
A plague of demons. Keith Laumer.
The Pyrates. George MacDonald Fraser. Read this many times.
Legion of the damned. Sven Hassel.
Game of thrones.
There's more, always more.

My favourite book is "All Quiet on the Western Front" by E.M.Remarque. It's amazing!
