Malachi

Good evening!

"I AM the Lord. I change not."
Malachi

Truly one of my favourite lines of scripture. Sums up our journey in a nutshell IMHO. It is my understanding that Malachi was the last great prophet of Judaism? I would truly appreciate any information you could offer in regards to Malachi from a Jewish perspective. When you're looking for information go to the source? Thanks

First of all, from my understanding of it, Malachi translates to:"My messanger of God"/"My Angel", Which is pretty much what a prophet is.
Second, the story is mostly warning to the priest of the time and to the Israelites about there ways, but also talks about Gods's love of Issac(and his descendants (e.g. The Israelites) ) vs. his hatred of Esau(and the Edomites).
Malachi is a nickname given to this prophet and not his real name.
