Any thoughts on this?

So I found this in "Journey of Souls" by Michael Newton.

Are the old folk tales of many races pure superstition, or manifestations of shared soul experience? I have the sense that many of our legends are the sympathetic memories of souls carried from other places to Earth long ago.

Any thoughts on this?

If he clarified what kind of "old folk tales" he is referring to - I'd might have some more defined thoughts.

Just from the top of my head then I would think Mermaids (the little mermaid), Minotaurs (greek mythology), Cyclops (greek mythology), Elves... and so on and so on... I just think he means in general but then again I am not him.

That could be it. But if he's trying to fit them into his soul memory hypothesis, he'd have to ignore the place such beings occupied in the respective cultures. And their functioning in the mythological worldview (which many folkloric creatures stemmed from in some respects).

You must not dismiss race memories, especially cross-race memories. Cro-Magnon memories of Neanderthals and vice versa.

Are the other realms other planets? Well, I suppose they are.

Unicorns and such are just on another level or in a diff dimension -
sometimes we see them- children are very able to.
Thus, with sensitives all over seeing them - sometimes in dreams,
we have the tales.

To me it's pretty simple - minotaur or fairy, mermaid - they do exist somewhere.
There's a minotaur in my neighbor right now, I know it!

That sounds pretty awesome!

These here higher dimension beings or what you might call them like fairies, do they have souls in the fashion like we believe humans have?

Yes race memories I think goes in the same ball park. I just get confused when there are so many possibilities.

Any possibility that these beings have ever lived whitin the 3D contains on Earth or have they always occupied a higher dimension on Earth? Or can it be that Earth moves in and out of cycles (think that is the right word) so in an ancient time the veil between dimension has been easier to see through.

With so many planets in the known universe I do think that there is a possibility for these mythical creatures to exist in 3D or at least once have.

I don't think souls have a species, but I think they could carry through memories of different lives -- including those of critters (mythical or non). I think it is possible these memories are what contributed to various tales, at least the ones that spread many cultures.

Some of them, like angels, could even be of aliens that landed a long time ago. Or the tales are due to a combination of things, such as "race" memories of animals that used to eat us and were combined into one thing (which one possible reason behind dragons, if I've remembered what the show said correctly).

I do believe it is possible for there to be a wide variety of races throughout the multi-verse and that maybe some of them have incarnated into a human body, bringing with them the memories of their past place and spreading the tales.
