Have you met a king or a queen fairy?

Hi! There,
It's been a while since I wrote anything around here.
I like the way Thistle brought the topic into applying it our own wordly people.
So far, all that is readily available stories/info in regards to meeting fae royalties were just happenstance_
like the people who just happened to stumble on the path of a fae procession,
and not much about people's procedures in gaining an entrance to the Fairyland Royal Court.
I'd imagine it as simple as gaining/entering into a pact with some family.
Like the drunk guy I was told of
who heard a baby's cry in the middle of nowhere/bushland in the dark. And since he thought nothing much of his action, in good humour he yelled aloud that
he'd be happy to become the Godfather of the baby, come it's naming day celebration.
Days later, he was surprisingly picked up and was taken by some elves to a grand family's celebration (equivalent to child's christening)
but when he finally sat to dine on the feast, he found that the food needed salt. So, he asked for salt but as soon as he uttered the word,
he got expelled from their presence/world
and was left hanging at highest branch of a very old tree.
