Just Rock-N-Roll

I really don't know how this is going to go over here, but what the hell ? Good music that don't involve good looks and washed up celebrity judges. Perhaps if it doesn't lift souls, it will at least get the blood pumping -

I love this series of clips from Deep Purples Machine Head tour. It's raw.

Those cats represent the death Don Mac Lean wrote about in his song American Pie, and they desecrate the purity of what it is to rock.

Here's some who still feel it.

I've seen them live and I can assure you they are the purest form of rock. Teengenerate as well. It's one of those 'had to be there' scenarios. People who say rock is dead are old farts or coffee shop hippies. Screw american pie. Hells angels helped save rock n roll. You just don't see it cause you don't go to the underground rock clubs, new rock doesn't fit into the status quo.

They don't rock. People think they rock because they don't know what rock really is. They make a din and the crowd becomes a mass of hysteria. The lead break was a joke. I wouldn't even call it a lead break. They can't even play a lead break.

The guitarist from ther Chilli's demonstrates his ability, and yes, he rocks.

Teengenerate sound like a punk band. That's OK because punk has always been atrocious anyway... it's meant to be atrocoius... and teengenerate have a lot of style in that way.

Rock's not dead. It's just that it lost the purity of it's soul, and people who will never begin to approach the standard of Angus Young, Ritchie Blackmore, Steve Vai or Eddie Van Halen have the audacity to say they rock.

It's no wonder that the 'old farts' pack the house and continue to do so over 30 years, it's because what's authentic never grows old.

I love this clip. It's funny. (this one's censored)
