And this is where our paths deviate.
You perceive you can do things without choosing to.
I percieve that everything I do comes from choice.
The issue for me is awareness. I may not be aware I have chosen, but current data tells me that all that I do is founded on decision, even though I may not be aware of the process.

Within my current journey of self discovery, I have found that particular actions and feelings that had no association with decision making processes, actually have.
I did not become aware of these processes until I delved deeper into myself.
The decision making process was always there, I just wasn't able to see them because I did not look deep enough.

Hi AC,

I am talking about our true nature. I don't think it is a chosen one. (I mean by us lower selves.)...

For example patience it part of our true nature I believe.

You can be patient for no reason (patient but nothing will happen) and I believe that is our true nature.

As I see it you are both right.

We can't choose our true nature as it is our essence of being.

We can choose to give our attention to it, once we become aware of it.

Further, instead of choosing to express specific qualities of our true nature, we can choose to surrender our will and surface choices into That wholeness.

Hi Xan,

What do you mean by "wholeness"?

Thanks,

I mean the oneness that is our own source and essence. It feels undivided and whole.

All these different emotions are in place in order to have the person with them go through different obstacles. Without emotion, there wouldn't be an action. There in place to allow us learn from different obstacles in this world.

Since we realize that there is no need for them though, we can also take them away.. and once you do this.. You are led to higher emotions (I've found atleast). These higher emotions are stronger and more overwhelming, they don't clause actions, instead clause stillness.

Yes... we are motivated by feeling more than by ideas... what we want to feel or get away from feeling.

The higher emotions are more subtle... the delicious feelings of spirit that are not motivating like the lower ones, but raise our consciousness and frequency even further.

I do not ascribe to the theory of there being a true self and a false self.
I ascribe to the theory of there being a self.
If I am patient, I am choosing to, and I either am aware of the decision or I am not.
