Binaural beats and ASMR videos

The binaural beats are something that have truly helped me with anxiety, worry, sleep, and to calm down my racing thoughts. I generally listen to the YouTube ones. The channel I like most is called Brainwave Power Music. I was curious if anyone had any favorites that they would like to share, other sites, or ones subscribed to. Is this something that has helped you? There is even one I listened to at one point where I was so relaxed I was hearing voices in my mind and was mentally communicating with them. That may sound unsual, but I was sort of in a lucid dream state. It's kind of like when you imagine the voice of someone you know in your mind, you can remember the tone, and whether it's male or female. That was a similar experience with me, in that I heard different voice tones and positive statements which I feel as my guides.

As for the ASMR, I was skeptical at first. People said it was just a bunch of creepy whispers and nothing else. (There's a couple of weird channels I've ran into, but for the most part there are ones that are good to listen to) However, when I listened to some they have helped me a lot with stress and sleep. To me, the asmr is just a creative spin on combining soothing sounds that trigger relaxation. For those who don't feel the "tingles" it does sound odd, but not so much when you've experienced it. What do you think? And I think they are both on wikipedia in more detail if you search for them.

I've never been brave enough to listen to binaural beats. I had this one bad experience with a Shepard Tone once (I only later discovered when I frantically googled around that apparently shepard tones occasionally cause extreme panic/anxiety in certain subjects who hear them, and thus are sometimes used quietly in the background of horror films and the like), and after that I was like, noooop! haha!

But as for ASMR, omg...I really adore it. I mean, I do feel a little creeped out by some of the really role-play-heavy videos and some that seem more like some kind of bizarre PG fetish, but I really enjoy the plain jane whisper-only videos. There's this Russian chick who does some really amazing ones, often just sort of showing off her favorite rings or random fabrics or things like that, and I like those. Gives me the warm happy childlike feeling, something akin to hiding under a blanket fort and whispering happily, lol. They really help me relax if it's been a bad day or I'm feeling really sick. Plus I think she's pagan! I always get the feeling she puts a lot of energy work into her ASMR vids, so it's like bonus energy healing on top of it!

Binaural beats are usually very effective for me. I especially like Hemi-sync. I also like Shamanic drumming a lot too. I seem to have a strong affinity with it. I was blown away by ASMR at first, tingles and all were great and very relaxing, but I guess I developed a fast immunity to it for some reason. Now they just irritate me. I've re-tried them occasionally thinking that maybe I just needed a break from them, but I get the same effect each time (?)

Asmr videos r weird. I think its just a way of introducing spirituality to millennials. The only ones i dont mind are when its a girl whispering... Lol actually the best asmr vids ive seen were on a porn site

That is not what asmr is about at all. It's possible to get "tingles" or pleasurable sensations in the body other than just in a sexual way. What about back massages, bubble baths, back rubs, etc. This is very similar to what ASMR actually is.

Certain sounds and triggers such as soft hand movements, tapping, art pencils, are just some random examples. Many people are annoyed with the fact that it has been turned into something sexual when that was really never the intention behind it at all.

While I agree some ASMR vidoes are a bit "out there", there are also ASMR videos created for the actual sake of relaxation and unwinding after a hard day. Much like these channels:

*ASMRMagic
*Olivia Kissper
*Deep Ocean of Sounds
*Asmr Therapist
*GentleWhispering

I have experience with binaural beats, mostly through the Monroe Institute's Hemi-Sync. One that I find particularly helpful is called the Tranquility Series. It really helps with relaxing, more than many other Hemi-Sync recordings- in my experience.

Of course, it $$.

On Youtube there's a huge selection of music, binaurals, isochronic tones, drums, etc.
I don't know of a favourite...I type deep meditation and I'm off! lol

ASMR I'm not familiar with but have noticed lots of videos with naked women clients in them. ;)

Also, Eric Brown has hypnotherapy recordings, I have them on my iPhone, that I find effective. One called Relaxation is really relaxing. His voice, the default background music, etc are all helpful.
