Could I have dreamt I was lucid dreaming?
So last night in a dream I remember saying "this is a dream."
My husband was there and he couldn't get the clock to tell the time..... I don't know anything about lucid dreaming except he's said certain things like light switches not flicking on are signs, so for some reason that made me say this is a lucid dream.
Imidiatley I started trying to fly but it didn't work. My hands went invisible as I started running to fly but yeah .... my enthusiasm was not enough lol
So was that a lucid dream or was I simply dreaming I had a lucid dream?

This alone makes it a lucid dream. If you know its a dream during the dream, then its a lucid dream. None of that other stuff affects whether or not its a lucid dream.

Fabulous! I think I watched inception to many times. I was over thinking it.
So why couldn't I fly then?
I thought the whole point was in a lucid dream you could do what ever you want.

Yep, sounds like a lucid dream to me also.
Flying... this is associated with freedom and the soaring of Spirit to me, unfettered by en-chaining belief systems,
suggesting something still holds you back...
...almost ready to Fly :)

Doing "whatever you want" is an advanced skill. It does not come automatically just because you realize its a dream.

Hello, sorry OP not to hijack you're thread or anything ;] but that's what is considered lucid dreaming? when You know you are in a dream ? and can even state that?
wow - I have been doing that on some nights. Some of my dreams. I can tell that I am dreaming, cause I tell myself "this is a dream" but instead of waking myself up.. I just let it keep going. and if something happens that I don't like - then I try to change the outcome.
Let me explain.. one night I was dreaming and for some reason my dream started to get really negative - Like someone getting murdered or something. I didn't like how the person in my dream was acting so i prevented it from happening by changing the dream location and everything in the dream. instead of waking up i continued to dream- but everything was peaceful again. When I woke up i remember the dream though (obviously since im telling it lol )
anyone have thoughts on this? I rarely have nightmares- cause I either, intervene. or tell myself "wake up" and i actually do wake up. doesnt always work though sadly.
