I have heard it said that the spirit world is the real world and our world here is a bad copy.
Nice to know that.

Absolutely!!!

A child having had an NDE said that, also, that that was the "real" world.

Ahh, Home.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.

I can't wait to arrive there,Miss Hepburn.
I'm in my later years and just waiting for that day to arrive.
Twice I've been taken there by my husband for a brief look and what I saw was 'out of this world'.

Excuse the pun!

"I can't wait" - you took the words right out of my mouth.
I am an avid NDE reader. And those are just the beginning, a glimpse!

I'm not in any hurry just yet myself.

One thing that keeps intriguing me is that it was quite clear from reading some of Gareth's later lyrics that he too held a firm belief in an afterlife, in which he would be greeted with a warm hand on his departure from this Earth. I can't give any specific quotes as examples as these are all searchable and identifiable, but there is definitely a strand. The problem now when listening to these songs after his death is the temptation to automatically make the assumption that he harboured a death wish. The fact is that Gareth took his own life when he was still relatively young (younger than I am now); I can't avoid revealing that, or none of what I'm saying here would make sense. So it would be all too easy to assume that he was simply over eager to go to this "other side". When the reality is that he was actually severely depressed - the accounts of him during that time make that abundantly clear (he was officially diagnosed with c.d. a few weeks before his death), and are quite heartbreaking - to me, anyway - to read. It's not like he just woke up one morning, and thought, "Bugger this; I've had enough, I think I'll top myself today." Nothing could be further from the truth.

Anyway, apologies for waffling there. I do wonder if Gareth was aware of this book, and Msgr Benson; I know that he did take a keen interest in paranormal and spiritual matters.

And yes, Mac, you're absolutely right about naysayers disbelieving you. I suppose I shouldn't get too frustrated. For all I know I might take the same attitude as them had I not had the experiences myself.

I know I go on about Gareth a lot here, but the truth is that from the very start of listening to his music I realised that I had this deep urge, need even to find out if he was all right, and what happened to him when he died, if anything (I was not a firm believer at that time). It was so hard not knowing; listening to someone whose music brought me so much delight whilst not ever being able to tell him how much it meant to me, as I was late to it and didn't start appreciating it until several years after his death. If I could know that he is okay in this apparent afterlife, it would make me feel so much better (selfish of me?) - hence my journey here and other relevant places.

Oh, no, I simply meant that was the page I was last at when I left it that afternoon!

I must place my last lucid 'dream' on here.
Whether it was OBE or dream, not sure of,but it sure made sense.
I will put it in the dream section.

There are at least two more in the series: More About life in the World Unseen, which I've read: and Here and Hereafter. I just acquired a copy of the latter tirle.

To struggle with the idea of buildings in the hereafter and what they're made of: as Mac says, how mamy of us really understand how things are made or how they operate in our presently earthly world?

I just had a conversation with two women, native New Orleanians who have bee riding the streetcars all their lives, who were stunned to learn that the individual streetcars don't generate their own power, but are powered by electricity coming from the wire overhead.

Think of "there" and "here" as separate dimensions, with their own "stuff", behaving according to their own laws.

I did read long ago that everything we manually build in this world is built by 'thought' in the next.
