It's tricky but I think it's because they are oriented to your phone camera. Your display on your phone shows them right way up so you can view them easily but they are technically sideways in your phone (ie you held the camera portrait style instead of landscape). Try taking your photos with your phone held landscape style and see what happens. It happens when I download photos from my phone to my computer all the time (they are often sideways or upside-down). You can reorient them in your phone gallery I think.

I wonder if it would help if you first upload your pictures to a picture editor? Something like Photoscape is free and pretty basic but would be able to re-size, or re-align your picture. (But Windows Photo Gallery should be enough to put your picture the right way up. The edit options will do that.)
Then once it's saved to your computer you could upload to a host such as photobucket or another. And from there onto here?
That could all be done quite quickly.

Fab, thank you both.
Yes i need to remember to take landscape pictures if I want to use it as a direct upload, but good to know it can be done another way for ones that are not. Thanks guys
